Blue Bahia is a sodalite-rich material sold commercially as granite. Some slabs may contain calcite-bearing areas in the matrix, so acidic spills or cleaners can dull or etch those areas. Test the actual slab before purchase and use pH-neutral care only.

Factory Resin — Direct Sunlight Caution

Blue Bahia is commonly factory-resined to consolidate fissures and stabilize the slab for sale. Standard resin is often not UV-stable and may discolor or lighten with prolonged direct sunlight. For sunny windows, outdoor kitchens, sunrooms, or exterior use, ask the supplier/fabricator about resin type and UV protection before buying.
