Slab Yard Diagnostic Protocol
Marble is a beautiful, premium stone — but it has well-known performance limits. The diagnostic kit confirms you're getting genuine marble (not mislabeled) and gives you a chance to see how the slab will react to the acids you'll encounter in real life.
From your Stone ID Kit
The full step-by-step protocol — including expected results and red flags — is included in your downloadable Buyer's Guide.
Arabescato Vagli may contain trace iron deposits within the stone. When exposed to moisture over time — especially in showers, around sinks, or exterior applications — these iron deposits can oxidize and cause rust-colored staining from within the stone. This is not a surface stain and cannot be cleaned with standard products. A professional stone restoration company can often treat iron stains with specialized poultices. Ask your fabricator to inspect the slab for visible iron deposits before installation.
Arabescato Vagli is a calcareous stone susceptible to acid etching. AntiEtch® provides permanent protection against lemon, vinegar, and other common acids.
